Chanel is back!

I am back again! I haven't been on in a while, I've had a busy summer and fall. We moved back in with Grandma and Grandpa and now I have a fenced in yard and I love it. We go on walks all the time and run in the fields with my big sister Jilly. 

I still play at 4 Paws Swim and Gym, I love to play with my two best friends Aussie and Gucci. I don't like swimming in the pool but I am fine with just hanging out in back playing all day. 

As you can tell Mom decided to dress me up in my Halloween costume this year. I was not very happy about it, I don't like anything restricting my activity. And as always she has to take a bunch of pictures. I know I'm cute, but how many pictures do you need to take goodness. Anyway, I need to get back to this nice weather before it gets cold, burr! 

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

Hello my two legged friends!

It's Nort again. It's been way too long since I've checked in! Well as you all know, now that its summer its wayy to hot out for us furry folk. So I've taken up a new hobby. Some people call it sun bathing, however I call it swimming; with style. Whenever we're at 4paws my mom tries to make me swim in the pool, but that pool is INDOORS! So obviously I act like I hate it, I mean what fun is that, swimming inside, just not my thing. I prefer to be out in the sunshine, where I can also get my tan on. (even though I hate when mom always puts the sun screen on me! Better safe than sorry I suppose) Anyways, I better get back to 4paws! I hear my best friend Luna calling my name!

Hey guys! It's been a while but I've been busy sleeping and tanning outside. It's been so nice out lately, sometimes a little too hot for me. But I still love to lay out. Mom told me the other day we will be moving back home with Grandma and Grandpa which means more time to lay out and a fenced in yard! What can be better than that. My Grandma likes to spoil me, she plays with me all the time and we work on what she calls "training" but I call it cheese time! Which is my favorite time. I love cheese! Other than that I have been hanging out with my friends at 4 Paws and been keeping busy. I'm going to keep it short and sweet today. Have a good long weekend!

THE LAZER

 WANTED: REWARD!!

ATTENTION ALL MY FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS!!

There is a new evil! (yes! even worse then the mail man!) It is called a "lazer" I dont know how it works, or why I can't catch it, however,  I will tell you it needs to be stopped! It wakes me up from a dead sleep,  makes me dizzy from spinning in circles, and flies around the house at the speed of light! Just when I think I'm about to catch it, it cheats and goes on the ceiling, so naturally, I bark at it until I scare it down. Sometimes it goes out the window, and I am already traveling at the speed of lightening I cant stop in time before the window hits! It makes me look like a fool! It must be stopped! If you are also having a lazer problem please find me, so we can't defeat it together!!! It will only get worse!  It must be stopped before it multiplies! We can win!

Hello!

Teena here, 1st time blogger, long time delicious dog food extraordinaire! I would just like the world to know how much I love food. As you can probably see by my picture, I know delicous food when I see it! However, I have decided it's high time I take a break from the delicous-ness and go on a diet. *GASP*  "You're a dog! There is no way you can just give all of that up!" (that's what you're supposed to say, I'm just filling in the blanks for you) But! On the contrary my friends! I have decided not to give up! I will have my butlers (my foster parents)Did I mention I'm up for adoption!? I'm up for adoption! I am from Dane County Humane Society!  Anyways, back to business, my butlers will just lower my portions and BAM! Instant will power!!You can not forget you need the will power! Will power is key! All of this along with my already 2 hour/day walks! I will make sure to keep you all updated on my upcoming success!!

Back again!

It's me again! I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy playing with my friends. The weather has been very nice out lately and that means more walks! I love walks. There's so many new smells and things to look at. Mom tries to take me on a walk once a day so we can get outside, it doesn't always happen every single day but that's ok. I had a great time while Mom was away on vacation, spent the whole week with my grandparents. They take me on a lot of walks too with my sister Jilly. I don't have a lot of time to write today, have to get back to my sunbathing outside. See you all later!

What Another Member!!!

Hi I am Luna, I am new on here because my mommy is the new tech at Westside Family Pet Clinic. Now I get to have an even bigger family. What is even better is that I am in the Reducing for Rescues weight loss challenge. Yes, even though my mom is pretty smart with all of that science stuff I have 6 pounds of winter weight to lose. I have lost a pound in just over 3 weeks.

What is my secret? Glad that you asked. Well my human sister Peighton is now tall enough to reach the treat container so I was getting a few extra when Mom was not looking. Mom moved the treat container up real high and supervises the treats that I am given. Mom has also made me eat these funny orange things named carrots instead of my treats. I do not like them very much but it makes Mom feel better so I eat them. Sometimes Mom drizzles my fish oil over carrots and green beans as my treat. It is not a Beggin Strip but I will eat it. My Aunt Ellen and Uncle Rick next door always spoil me with tons of treats when Mom is not looking so Mom just cut down my amount of food so that I can still have those yummy treats. Peighton still drops food on the floor for me so I help her clean it up before Mom sees it. I chase Peighton around the house a few extra times so those calories do not count. I told Mom that if Peighton would eat at the table and not in the living room there would be less food on the floor but Mom does not listen to me.

My Dad takes me for walks several times a week now that it is warmer. I told Mom and Dad I need to be walked everyday but they do not listen. They wonder why I am still so crazy at 9 years old. If I did not act crazy they would never walk me. That is OK because my Aunt Ellen who lives next door walks me while Mom is at work. Sometimes I forget to tell Mom and Dad I was walked so I get to go again. That green wagon that has to go with us now to haul Peighton in slows us down. I do not know why she can't walk with us, she is as crazy as me.

Well I have to get to bed but keep tuning in to see if I lose my 6 pounds!

Well my birthday was great!!!!  I even got a Frosty Paw to eat yum!!  Easter was even better.  My basket was hidden in the cupboard - my parents tried to fool me, but I had no trouble smelling it.  The best part was when all those grandkids came again to play chase with me.  Wow – they sure like it when I bark and chase them (I could catch them if I really wanted to) – the grown ups thought I was kinda loud though.  Well, I have more squirrels to chase off  MY deck. Hope you are having a happy spring.

I say that because my mom was in Mexico last week.. and she taught me a thing or two. Today my update is about that week my mom was gone. When she first told me, I went and pouted on my bed. She wouldnt leave me alone either. I was mad.. So.. I had to give her some tuff love.

After that, she took me over to Nicki's house where she said I'd be spending my "vacation" I was mad, then we pulled up and there were some people outside saying hi to me, but I didnt care.. then, I saw COZWORTH!! A whole week with Coz?!

Help Me Name My New Brother!!

Hi, it's me, Macy, and I have a favor to ask of you!

As you may have heard by now I have a new puppy

addition to our family. He is an 8 month old Miniature Australian Shepherd. His name is Neko, but the name isn't working with his time spent in Fitness at Four Paws.

So I have a BIG favor to ask of anyone reading this.

PLLEEAASSSEE help us find a new name for him!!

Don't get us wrong, we like the name, but it causes him some confusion. He needs a name that is unique and not

 used by many. So Spot is out of the question! My sister

likes Foster..Australian for Beer!!

He fits right in with the family. We take long walks and go to the dog park. He's a lot of fun. Even when he takes my favorite duck toy!! He's definitely a keeper!! So if anyone out there has any suggestions let me know and I'll pass it on. the final choice is mine. They just don't know it yet!!!

Nutrition Pet Fair and Reducing for Rescues Kick off March 24th

Gucci Tucci update.
Well I can't believe it's that time of year again for the 4th Annual Nutrition Fair.  I have (actually my mom) been watching my weight very closely this winter and exercising daily at 4 Paw Swim and Fitness.  Happy to say that I am maintaining my svelte figure.  If it was up to me I would eat everything in sight, I read some where that dogs will eat anything and I can vouch for that.
Hope anyone wanting to learn more about nutrition and weight loss will stop in between 12:30pm and 2 pm Saturday 3/24/12.

Boy, am I ever glad it's almiost spring. I like the snow, but I want to smell all the good stuff that was left under the snow.  By the way, my birthday is on March 17th - PARTY TIME.  I'll be 8 years old (that makes me about 48 years in people years).  WOW I don't feel that old.  Guess that's because my family keep me lean and trim and give me lots of excercise.  Well gotta go - hope to see you at the Pet Nutrition Fair on March 24 at Westside Family Pet.

Under the Couch

I decided I should write since my Mom is at work now and I have nothing to do. Norton has to go in his crate because sometimes he is naughty, so all I can do is stare at him and hope he comes out to play with me. It's my birthday tomorrow I will be 2 years old! Hopefully my Mom will get me something really fun. I know I will be able to go and play with all my friends at 4 Paws for a little while, then come home and snuggle with Mom...maybe she will take me for a walk since it will be nice outside! I love to go on walks.

I found this new place the other day that I love to sit under and creep on Norton. It is under the couch, it's dark and he can't come and get me under there. He gets so mad when I go under there and once I know the coast is clear I turbo around the house under my Mom's bed (another place he can't get me). I just laugh and think..oh boy don't you wish you could fit under here and get me. He tries really hard but yet he can't seem to get under there. Mom likes to take pictures of me under there, she finds it funny. I do not know why, it's another place for me to hide.

Hello everyone!
Its Nort again, I am going to take this oportunity to tell all you dog owners our there, I get it were cute and cuddly and just so gosh darn entertaining, but please, GO AWAY.
Dont know what I'm talking about? Well let me tell you! The other day my sister Chanel and I were having a great time doing our Turbo-ing around the house, (I mean, we were practically flying) when Chanels mom Chelsey picked her up and held her over the tub and Chanel started flailing her legs in this funny way, and I couldnt get why. Then it hit me! Chanely was swimming! She was preparing for a swim!  Like any smart dog Chanel was doing what she needed to, to survive! To make it worse, it was IN THE BATH!!  So naturally I took off. Next thing I know mom picks me up! Soon, Chanel and I are both over the tub! I felt like the world was gonna end!! I just wanted to die! Then they were slowly lowering us down, I clenched my teeth, held my breath, and soon I can feel the bottom of the tub on my feet. All I remember thinking is, oh please someone help me! and.. and!!.....nothing. There was no water in the tub, no soap out, no towels, nothing. They put me and Chanel in an EMPTY TUB! Very cruel joke you two!! I do not appreciate it! No matter how funny you thought it was!

So again.. I would just like to say, I love you, but please.. just go away.

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in a while I've been busy at 4 Paws Swim and Fitness with my brother Nort. My Mom is taking classes at a place called school, which is okay becuase I get to go play with all my friends.



I'm not sure what to think about this weather, I like when it's really warm out I get to go on walks and my feet don't get cold. I like to play in the snow and eat it but I can't be out there too long especially when it's cold. My Mom has a coat for me to wear but I refuse to wear it, it restricts my ability to run around. Mom thinks it's cute and laughs at me which is not very nice of her.













The other weekend my friend Gucci came over to stay with us for a few days. It was a busy weekend; playing with toys and going on walks. I also get to go on walks with my big sister Jilly. I can't walk as far as her though she's a lot bigger than I am.
But that's it for now, gotta get back to my snoozin :)

It's a great day to be a dog!

Hi it's me Wicked. Today was a great day. My best friend Dakota's birthday is today. He turned 9. So my mom Beth and his dad decided to go to the dog park. My mom didn't know it was going to be so muddy! I love running in the mud! I even got some on my face, so I decided to put some back on my mom so she could have has much fun as I was having.

There was mud snow and lots of hidden land mines that must have been hiding under the snow. (I think you know what land mines are) He He my mom stepped in one! How come our house can't be a dog park. I know it's a farm because of all those cats that live with us.

When we were done my mom had to try and get some of the mud off of me. As you can see it was everywhere! I think dogs should be dirty all the time.
NOOOO mom I don't want a bath! :( just let me rub up on you some more and I'll be clean. Please!!!! Oh crap I'm in the tub~~
Well it was good while it lasted. I'm all nice and clean now. The mud is just a distant memory now. Until next time great muddy dog park!

Hi my name is Macy May. Hard to believe that on January 5th, I turned 10 yrs old!!  My how time flies when your having fun!!!  That's me flipping for snowballs!! 

Don't get me wrong I like snow, only when it's above freeeeeezing!! My real favorite thing to do in the winter (at my age) you guessed it, sleeping in! Sometimes I even share the covers with my human sister, and I try not to push her out of bed.

This is me as a puppy. I looked a little different then.

Growing up with 4 people sisters will give anyone gray hair. Sorry Mom! 

 People have always asked my mom Lori, what breed I was. We weren't sure. All we knew was that my dog mom, Nala, was and English Pointer. Dad, was a very good question. We had many suggestions. BUT, this Christmas my mom got a very special gift from my sister Nicki, A Wisdom Panel from Westside Family Pet Clinic. We now know that I am 

1/2 English Pointer and 1/2 LABRADOR RETRIEVER!!  My mom calls me an

'English Pointador'!  I like it. It's as unique as I am!!

Well it's time for me to hit the covers again before my sister comes home and to dream about warmer weather and getting that squirrel that lives in my tree! My buddy Meowser and I are making a plan.  I'll keep you posted and let you know how it works out.

To grandmother's house we go!

Oh boy! This weekend I had so much fun at grandmas! It snowed so much that when it was all over grandma and grandpa decided to take us little dogs on a walk down by the Sugar River! By us, I mean grandma's dog Bailey. She doesn't like me very much, mom says its because shes a crabby old lady, and shes just jealous because I'm obviously a lot cuter than she is. 

My feet got cold though, so grandma had to carry me down. Grandma says it was funny to watch me on the ice because I didnt know how to stand, but I keep telling her I meant to do the splits. She underestimates my acrobatic ability, I was merely showing off my skills, clearly someone needs to inform her. I was kind of mad though, grandma wouldn't let me off the leash, and there were SO MANY BIRDS down there!! I could've chased them all day long, but I kept getting clothes lined! Dang it grandma! We'll at least I got to watch them.......from a distance.

Hi!  I am an almost 8 year old yellow lab named Mac.  I joined my family as a puppy - a Mother's Day surprise for mom!  I was named Mac as in Fleetwood Mac, although sometimes I act like a big Mac truck.  I live in with my mom, dad and brother in a house that has a great big yard for me to roam, although most days you'll see me just laying in the sun.  My dad takes me running almost every day and the whole family loves when I play ball or frisbee with them.  The holidays were a wonderful time because my sisters were both home and that meant two more beds sleep on!  My brother usually lets me sleep on his bed, but he is so tall that he takes up a lot of my space.  I got this great bunny skin for Christmas - my mom loves to hide it for me but I know all her spots and find it right away.  I also got a "never-ending treat ball" and hard as I try I haven't been able to get that darn treat out yet!  I'll keep you posted on my progress.

 I’m Kelli  and I am a beautiful “almost” 8 year old Maltipoo.  I live with Jerry & Sharon – they’re my mom & dad – and Erin.- she’s a lot of fun cause she’s the one who plays with me the most, and best of all, she’s the one that feeds me. I feel lucky because they rescued me from a family that couldn’t take care of me  My favorite things to do are drive the squirrels nuts when the come on MY deck, and go for walks.  BUT the very best thing is when all the kids (my parents call them grandkids) come over and play chase with me and give me treats (my mom says not too many though).  Well, that’s it for now.  I’ll write again soon.

I came to live with my mom Beth in June. My breeder mom was planning on keeping me and having puppies. Well I had different plans. I decided I didn't want to have puppies so I pretended that I hurt my leg. And thats when my mom came into the picture. I haven't had any sore legs since I came to live with her. I'm in the best shape of my life.

Norton's wonderful christmas

Hello again! Just stopped in to give you a quick update about my Christmas! The reason I say quick is because my Grandma got me a new toy. All mom got me is a lame coat. Dont get me wrong, it's warm and all, but is shocks me a lot when we take it off. Any ways back to grandmas toy. It looks like a squirrel with a ball attached to its tail, the ball rolls around on its own and drags the squirrel around so I can't catch it! (or so it thinks) All I have to do is wait for it to hit the wall and BAM! Soon the fur is flying! Mom calls it cheating, but I prefer genius!

Oh! and did I  mention I made a lot of new friends?? I met a lot of new dogs, but I think my favorite friend was this big black dog named Roxy, shes fast, like me and we like to chase each other! She does a better job at catching me though, after that day I felt like I got a spit bath.. its OK though! I'd rather have a spit bath then a real bath!
Well I've got to go, the squirrel is on the move!!

Chanel's Christmas

I had a great Christmas and New Year's! My Mom got me a new squeaky toy without the stuffing because I like to eat the stuffing. Which Mom tells me is naughty. I also got a bunch of new toy balls to chase around the house, those are fun too!

The house smelled really good with all the food that was being made, I wish I could have tried some of it. I like to sit in the kitchen and watch them make it and hope some drops on the ground for me to get. I'm not supposed to be in the kitchen while they're cooking but I sneak in anyway!

I also loved the Christmas tree. I like to steal the oranaments from the tree and run around with them. The branches on the tree are fun to play with too, they make a really big mess though. Overall I had a really good Christmas I got a lot of treats and did a lot of snoozing. Treats and snoozing! :)
